Woman Receives 20,000 Fake Pills Instead Of Yoga Mat In Mail

November 20, 2017:

In October, a woman in Rock Hill, South Carolina received a package from Walmart that she assumed was a yoga mat she had ordered.  Instead, the package contained over 20,000 oxycodone pills, WSOCTV reports.

Drug unit commander Marvin Brown told WSOCTV that drugs are often shipped to empty homes where a person is assigned the job of sitting and waiting for the package to arrive. He said “vacant apartments, homes where people have gone to work for the day,” are the most likely drop-off points.

The International Business Times reported that the Rock Hill Police Department classified the pills as “mostly counterfeit”. Safemedicines.org
